Re: I need some information, please!
i speak very bad english so i hope that you will understand ,in france,if you want study social work you must go to a special schools which are in differents cities(you will find this schools on this page )the formation spends during 3 years and at the end you obtain a social school-certificate ,you must take a competitive examination which is organized by the social school in order to make the 3 years-formation because the places are limitated.apparently you have already been in a social school in spain but I don't know if there is an equivalence whith the french school whith the Europe..you should directly demand to a school in france.good luck!and i hope that you understood me!! bye

Thank you, and other question, sorry!
Thank you so much for your answer, I understand it!
But now i have other question about it. After pass this examination and take your certificate, What can you do for continue your studies? I mean, can you have acces to a Maitrise, Magistére,Diplôme d'Études Supérieures Spécialisées,or Diplôme d'Études Approfondies in the university ? And you have this kind of superior studies specialized around Social Work?
Do you know where can i obtain this information?
other time thank you so much!
Merci!

Re: I need some information, please!
Hello Alma!
In fact, french studies in social work might be very different because several kinds of cursus are existing. It depends first on your professional project : if you want to work for families or for people with financial, educative or health problems, it's correspond to our "assistante sociale"'s formation, which consists in 3 years of study, with half-time on probationary period and half-time at school, before an exam called "diplôme d'etat" (state graduation) which is only valuable in France(a complementary probationnary period is necessary to get an equivalent job in most of the other European countries). If your wish is to work with children, as educator, it's the profession of "educateur spécialisé" that you could reward. For "Assistante Sociale", as well as "Educateur Specialisé", it's consists in a second cycle formation, even if the studies are longing 3 years. It's good to know that it's possible to get a universitary equivalent to follow, next, a third cycle, that might open the way for managing a social worker's team, for example.
For further informations, thanks to be more explicit in the explanation of your intentions, on a professional way. Maybe I could then give you some accurate pieces of information (if my english is clear enough for you...)

Re: Thank you, and other question, sorry!
Of course you can keep on your studies !
Social worker certificate is equivalent to a DEUG (DIplôme d'enseignement universitaire général) so you can prepare a DSTS (Diplome supérieur en travail social) which is equivalent to a maitrise and permit you to go at university, especially in department of sociology, education's science or psychology. It depends on your personnal choices and on the decision of universitary comissions (which are different in each university)whose fonction is to accept your equivalence...or not, according to your results, your motivations and the number of places they get at the moment you want your admission.
I hope I answered your question. You can get further information by writting to a school for social workers, an human sciences'university or just a CIO (Centre d'information et d'orientation).
